I ended up getting a curved band for my wedding ring - even though I always thought they were hideous - because nothing else would fit with my engagement ring. They look great together and I'm very happy now.

LOL I have been thinking about those details for months! Nice job on upgrading to the chivaris...love them. They are included at a discounted rate ($4/chair) at our venue since they have an exclusive deal with the rental company. And we also threw in a little extra to upgrade to satin colored linens throughout. I like the colors you discussed and how you plan to incorporate them...it sounds pretty and classy. I can't wait to do our menu selection in a few months!

Fiance bought my rings as a set and I am so glad of it! The shop was kind enough to tell him that the style was close to sold out, so my wedding band came along for the ride when he proposed. I have to restrain myself from trying it on all the time. I love a perfect match. It's completely worth it!

Yes, I am all about the anniversary jewelry. I am not one for the wedding band 'sets' so my engagement ring is serving double duty as the one and only wedding ring post ceremony :) I know what you mean about noticing something that no one else would ever see...my fiance and I are the same way when we are shopping for things like rings.

I did think of that too, and I really like the idea... it would work for anyone else. Our issue is that we leave for our honeymoon the next morning, are gone for a week (my spring break) and when we get back, it's already time to start cramming for finals (law school is really "special" in the stressful final exams department). We'd need to get a huge chunk of cards done before the wedding and while we are on our honeymoon, so we'd already lose a lot of time if we had to wait until two days after the wedding + however long shipping would take. And as a bonus, this was a super economical option. :)

Ha! I am with you on the lyrics thing. It's amazing that so many of the songs I love (and thought were sweet) are actually about loss, pain and suffering. My fiance and I are toying with having an instrumental version of Death Cab for Cutie's "I Will Follow You Into The Dark" because we love the song. But the first two lyrics are "Love of mine/Someday you will die." Argh! Such a beautiful song, though!
