Great news

For anyone who has been following B-Squared Bride/Golightly's progress, Bev has posted some really hopeful updates—she is now speaking! She seems to recognize names and voices, and is responding verbally to people (although not in actual words yet). Please keep praying for her recovery!

Is Golightly awake?

Here is the latest update on Golightly. I honestly can't tell if this means she's woken up or not—all of the updates have sounded so upbeat even when her condition was looking pretty dire, so I'm not really sure how she's doing. Please keep praying for her... maybe one of these days she'll be able to tell us herself.

Updates on Golightly/B-Squared Bride

By now you've probably figured out that the best place for updates on Golightly's condition since her accident is at Pecos Girl, but just in case, the latest news is that she is showing some signs of recovery, but the damage to her brain is as bad as initially suspected and the chances of a full recovery are slim. And if that weren't enough, Golightly's insurance is not covering the vast majority of costs, so it's been difficult to get her transferred to another hospital. A fund has been set up for donations; you can email Pecos Girl through her site for information if you are able to help in any way.

Some good news on Golightly

The latest word is that Golightly is off the ventilator and breathing on her own. Still no update on the brain injuries, so please keep her in your thoughts.

Bev has posted a few more updates on Golightly. She's been transferred to a different hospital, and the swelling in her brain has gone down some, but not enough yet to accurately assess her injuries, according to her new doctors. The good news is that some of her other injuries are starting to heal, so I'm holding out hope that the more serious ones will soon, as well.
