D is calling the rental company to see if anyone turned in a camera (yeah right), and I will search my room again (maybe I pulled it out earlier thinking I was being careful and forgot?) when I'm less emotional. I could probably replace the camera relatively inexpensively as far as cameras go (except that it's not in my budget at allI'd have to wait until at least September, and I have two vacations planned between now and then that I want on camera!), and I'm sure none of the photos his mother took were so fantastic that we couldn't recreate them (especially since I wasn't planning on taking photos that day and I don't like our outfits very much), but I can't get back the regular vacation photos that we took just goofing around. I'm sad about that. We don't take a lot of pictures; this was the one time I made a point of it.
Hope your camera turns up! In the meantime, can you borrow someone else's?
