Gilt-y

So we've all heard about Cole Haan bridal shoes with Nike Air "technology," right? Well, the idea has intrigued me, even if the prices have not (Nordstrom carries a few of their styles at $400+—I'd think of it for Prada or Louboutin, but not for a shoe I wouldn't wear again).

Well, yesterday, the Gilt Groupe held a sale on Sergio Rossi shoes. I didn't find my hot shoes, unfortunately, and I wasn't able to commit to the white satin not knowing exactly what wedding dress I'm going to wear. But when the Cole Haan sale started today, I figured I must act!

Of course they weren't carrying the bridal shoes, but I did need a pair of brown pumps for work, and although the high heels were not available in my size (I do love me some heels), the low heels were (they were still 2.75", though, and that's not that low!). I figured for $118 I could try a pair of shoes that would apparently be as comfortable as sneakers. And if they're really that great, maybe I'll consider the wedding shoes again.

By the way, if you're interested in joining the Gilte Groupe, membership is by invitation only. Consider yourself invited.

  1. Ooh - I tried on a pair of Cole Haan pumps a few weeks ago, and they truly are fab. Comfiest heels i've ever worn - well, for the 30 seconds I walked in them around the store... :)

  2. I wear a pair of Cole Haan low heels to work everyday, and they are some of the most comfortable heels around. The price is steep, but when I think about how I would like my feet to look (and feel!) in 30, 40, 50 years, I think that its worth it.
