D and I met with
the rabbi today. It was a long meeting—over an hour—but we managed to agree on the following: that a rabbi would perform our ceremony, that we would incorporate aspects of other, non-Jewish traditions so that D would feel like it's his wedding also, and that there was no way in hell I was circling D seven times at the beginning of the ceremony. Done, done, and done. I'm making this short because it's occupied my brain for the last six hours (and it wasn't an easy conclusion to come to) and I am ready to move on now.
